One of the most volatile and fluid markets at the moment is related to the beauty industry. As the range of products at our disposal continues to grow year by year, day by day, we are provided with a selection that begins to overwhelm us. Are the products on our shelf the most suitable for us? Is there something else that could– hide my dark circles better? Hydrate my skin better? Make my lashes longer? – there always is.
But, we believe it’s more valuable to stick to your current selection; “project pan” it out before you replace or try something new. And the basis for your persuasion of your next product? Let it be this blog; here, we’ve curated the three makeup products (yes only three!) that Keira and I would take to the grave (at least that’s if we’re about to die today).
Number #1

What girl’s makeup look is complete without mascara? I’ve stood by the Maybelline Lash Paradise for over a year now; I love it for the curved wand which has bristles going from short to long– making it perfect for applying mascara. However, I personally believe it’s the eyelashes that make the most difference; a mascara looks different on everyone. So, if you have long eyelashes like me, but prefer a voluminous look (over a lengthening one), then this is the mascara for you.

The Stila eyeliner in shade Stingray Black is perfect for tight-lining the upper lash line as its gel formula glides smoothly against the waterline, ensuring little to no irritation. The formula doesn’t smudge or smear unlike other eyeliners, making it the perfect candidate for a tight waterline and anti-panda eyes.
Number #2

This is a habit that began at the start of year twelve, and has continued to today– brushing brown eyeshadow right below my bottom waterline creates a subtle yet powerful focus on my eyes. The key is to find a shadow that’s just slightly more brown than your skin tone, so it looks like theres nothing there and the winged look is all natural. Trust me on this!

Glossier blush in the shade dusk is the perfect natural flush for light medium-olive toned complexions, giving your skin an almost bronzy warm colour to the face. The pigment has great payoff so using it sparingly will last you a while. The thin lightweight formula allows you to use it on both natural skin days or for a fuller beat, making this 10mL tube a versatile addition to your makeup bag or holiday.
Number #3

There’s no words to describe why tightlining changes a look completely. I have no idea why eyeliner on the waterline makes a person 100x more beautiful. Maybe it has to do with the scientific studies that have proven time and time again that the eyes are what we look at first, and are what we find the most beautiful when we notice someone. The Chanel Kohl Liner has been my holy grail for what, 4 years now? The liner has been a testament to my growth!

The Tower28 concealer naturally brightens and conceals under-eyes without feeling heavy and creasy. It is the perfect concealer for no makeup makeup days, covering blemishes and uneven skin tone. It’s also perfect for acne-prone or sensitive skin individuals like myself, as it doesn’t cling to dry patches or irritate skin. This concealer has replaced the cult-favourite kosas concealer I used to swear by, as the shade 5.0 EP is the perfect subtly peachy undertone for light-medium neutral skin, not coming off too yellow.
I hope our most beloved products inspire and help you decide what to add to your collection. Just remember that sticking by a product and enjoying it to it’s last day brings more joy than over consuming ever can!
